Fiberglass woven fabric is a highly adaptable material widely used across various industries, due to its excellent high-temperature resistance, fire resistance and electrical insulation. Description

Introduction to Products:

Fiberglass woven fabric is used in a wide range of industrial applications and is the most widely available and the most cost-effective material. It is produced from glass fiber yarns and is available in plain weave, twill weave, satin weave and so on. It can be coated with silicone, fluoro, PTFE or acrylic for excellent high-temperature resistance, fire resistance, electrical insulation and chemical corrosion resistance. Widely used for fire blankets, thermal insulation, pipeline expansion joints, electrical insulation and composite reinforcement in duct parts and high-temperature industrial protection.

There is a difference between high twist yarn and low-twist yarn:

Fiberglass woven fabric is made by weaving two kinds of yarns. One is high-twist yarn, and the other is low-twist yarn. What are the differences between them?

1.The individual filaments of the high-twist yarn have strong adhesion between them, and the yarn is firm and stiff. While the low-twist yarn bobbins are soft and prone to unraveling.

2.The fiberglass fabric made from high-twist yarn is less prone to shedding fibers and tearing, and has high weaving efficiency. While the fiberglass fabric made from low-twist yarn is prone to broken yarns and knotting, the fabric surface is soft.

3.When high-twist yarn is mixed with an impregnating agent, its bonding strength is high. After being woven into fiberglass fabric, it can be cut without being prone to delamination. While the adhesive force of low-twist yarn is relatively weak, it is suitable for secondary coating and desizing processes.

4.Fiberglass woven fabric made from high-twist yarn has a firm and stiff surface, and is not prone to deformation. While the fiberglass woven fabric made from low-twist yarn has a soft and fluffy surface, with good bending properties.

If you want to use fiberglass woven fabric as the base fabric for the coating, you can choose high-twist yarn. Because the base fabric made from this type of yarn is strong and less likely to peel off or come apart.

If what you need is fiberglass woven fabric for electronic products or equipment packaging, and you are looking for a soft material, you can choose short filament adhesive yarn.

Classification of Common Glass Fiber Mats:

 1. Fiberglass woven fabric-7628

This fiberglass fabric is a globally applicable electronic-grade alkali-free E-glass fiber cloth.

Advantages:High temperature resistance, electronic insulation, high strength, chemical corrosion resistance, good flame retardancy and fire resistance performance.

Fabric weight: 210±3g/㎡

Thickness: 0.18±0.02mm

Application: Electronic industry circuit board substrates, electronic mainboards for new energy vehicles, pipeline insulation and fireproof wrapping, high-temperature equipment heat insulation pads, etc.

 

 

 2. Fiberglass woven fabric-3732

This fiberglass fabric is an industrial-grade fiberglass base fabric – E-glass fiberglass cloth.

Advantages: High temperature resistant, fireproof and non-flammable, tear-resistant, wear-resistant, and highly flexible.The structure is firm and the fabric is not prone to unraveling during cutting.

Fabric weight: 430±10g/㎡

Thickness: 0.40±0.2mm

Application: Can be used as the base material for silicone fireproof fabric, the fabric expansion joint, equipment insulation wrapping, fire extinguishing blankets, etc.

 

 

3. Fiberglass woven fabric-3788

This fiberglass fabric cloth is a thickened type of E-glass industrial fabric.

Advantages: High temperature resistant, fireproof and non-flammable, flexible and durable, good heat resistance, strong puncture resistance.

Fabric weight: 1700±50g/㎡

Thickness: 1.6~1.7mm

Application: It can be used for thickening industrial fire blankets, thickening industrial coating base fabrics, making smoke barriers for welding, and as the base material for smoke duct expansion joints, etc.
